Elastics (Rubber Bands)
Used to improve the alignment of upper and lower teeth, elastics must be worn as directed for maximum efficiency.

Forsus™
This device is an alternative to headgear and is used primarily to promote jaw growth in adolescents, helping to correct overbites and potentially avoiding jaw surgery.

Headgear
Designed to treat overbites or underbites, headgear restrains further forward growth of the upper jaw and teeth.

Herbst® Appliance
This appliance helps reduce overbite by advancing the lower jaw forward and moving the upper molars backward, commonly used in younger, growing children.

Palatal Expander
Used to widen the upper jaw by applying pressure on the upper molars each time an adjustment is made. Once the desired expansion is achieved, the expander is worn for several months to stabilize the expansion.

Positioners
These appliances finalize the tooth movements in your orthodontic treatment, typically worn for 4-8 weeks, requiring full patient cooperation.

Retainers
Available as removable or fixed, retainers maintain the new position of straightened teeth. Proper care and consistent wear are crucial to prevent movement back to their original positions.

Separators or Spacers
Small rubber doughnuts that create space between teeth before fitting orthodontic bands. They are removed prior to placing the bands and should be kept away from sticky foods.
Twin Block Appliance
Consists of two parts for the upper and lower jaw, enhancing the lower jaw position. This appliance is more comfortable due to its smooth acrylic construction and is worn full time.
MARA (Mandibular Anterior Repositioning Appliance)
A fixed appliance that promotes lower jaw growth to address severe overbites and reduce the need for surgery. It's anchored to the molars and adjustable by the orthodontist.
